WHO IS KNIGHT OF THE LIVING DAD?

I am a young-at-heart-but-how-did-I-get-this-old guy. I was previously married and raising three daughters, but am now a divorced dad. Through a series of wake-up calls and personal-growth moments, I came to the realization that I didn't want my children having a relationship with a dead memory of their father (and step-father), but I wanted to be interactive with them as a Living Dad. It has become my daily focus (and often struggle) to live so that I can be an interactive father who treats his children with love and respect and relates to them on a level that is individualized and age-appropriate for each of them.
Raising three daughters has given me the realization that God has a sense of humor and also a sense of irony. More to the point, I have strong beliefs about God and proclaim a Christian faith. However, I am far from perfect and fail to meet my own standards more often than I care to admit. I understand that not everyone visiting this site is a Christian or perhaps even trusts the lack of evidence that there even is a God. This is fine; shared belief is not a requirement to feel welcome here. Further, I don't believe that Christians should perceive those who don't go to church as the enemy. We are all broken people, searching for answers.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS WEBSITE

At this time, this space is mainly used as my blog; however, I expect the purpose and function to grow in time. However, what you will not find on this site is a goody-two-shoes content or holier-than-thou attitude. (If you'd like to receive an email whenever I post a new entry on my blog, click here.)
In fact, some content should be carefully viewed because there could be content of at least "PG-13" level. My blog will touch on subjects of life, politics, history and even sexuality. I have even had to warn my own mother. So, it is not for the light-hearted. And although nudity and swearing is avoided here, I can't promise that the content is non-offensive or that profanity won't appear somewhere. If you look hard enough, I'm confident you can find something inappropriate in some way. If it bothers you greatly, please bring it to my attention. But before you complain understand that I usually test sexual content against the "Song of Solomon" and violent references against Lamech or Zedekiah. That's a joke usually not appreciated by those who share my beliefs, often because even they don't get it.
